Kearney grad professes Holy Cross vows

A 2007 Bishop Kearney High School graduate was among six men to make first profession of vows July 28 with the Congregation of Holy Cross, United States Province of Priests and Brothers.

Ryan Pietrocarlo of Rochester, who earned a bachelors’ degree in biochemistry from the University of Notre Dame in 2011, was among the novices to make his first profession of vows during the liturgy at Sacred Heart Church, Colorado Springs, Colo. The novices have spent the past year in deep prayer and reflection at the Holy Cross Novitiate in Cascade, Colo.

The liturgy was celebrated by Holy Cross Father Thomas J. O’Hara, provincial superior of the U.S. Province.

Brother Pietrocarlo will continue on as a temporary professed seminarian living at Moreau Seminary at the Univeristy of Notre Dame, where he will work on theological studies and pastoral formation through the master of divinity program.
