The Kinship Resource Care Network of Catholic Family Center in Rochester has received a $10,000 grant from the John F. Wegman Fund, according to the board of directors of the Rochester Area Community Foundation Inc.
The grant will fund services and assistance to families through Kinship Resource Care Network, which works mostly with grandparents and other relatives who are raising a family member’s children.
“We are very grateful to the Rochester Area Community Foundation and its John F. Wegman Fund for their support of these critically needed services,” said Carolyn Portanova, CFC’s president and chief executive officer. “The numbers of elders finding themselves in the role of parent-again continue to grow, and they need the community’s support and commitment.”
