St. Kateri School in Irondequoit began its anti-bullying program with a Jan. 13 presentation from the Rochester Knighthawks. Joe Walters, an eight-year veteran of the Knighthawks, spoke about a personal experience with bullying and answered questions from the preschool to fifth-grade students. The St. Kateri program stems from the diocesanwide use of the Olweus anti-bullying curriculum, which requires students to pledge not to bully and to inform adults when they see bullying happen.
