Father Edmund Herzog, a native of Lansing, was ordained as a priest of the Diocese of Wichita on May 27.
Father Herzog is a graduate of Lansing High School and Newman University in Kansas. Prior to his priestly ordination, he attended Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, Md. He was ordained a transitional deacon in 2016.
He returned to Tompkins County the weekend of June 3-4, celebrating his first Masses as a priest at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Ithaca as well as All Saints in Lansing.
