The Diocese of Rochester’s annual Leadership Days program will take place from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 95 N. Main St., Canandaigua, on Tuesday, Aug. 3, and Wednesday, Aug. 4.
Keynote speaker Stephen J. Steinbeiser is director of liturgy at Duquesne University, and founder of American Liturgical Prayer: Holistic Approach, a group of musicians, storytellers and dancers who work to “animate prayer” through use of the arts in parishes and communities.
The theme for this year’s Leadership Days is “Food for Life: Meals and Recipes for Every Occasion.” Workshops will feature presentations on numerous subjects, including “Making Sense of Life’s Challenges”; “The Contemplative Life of the Soccer Mom and Dad”; “Home Shrines: Family Rituals for the Rhythms of Life”; “Affirming Our Local Saints: Honoring the Wisdom and History of all Groups in the Parish”; and “Musical Recipes: In A Multicultural Parish, How Do We Celebrate Together?”
