Lenten soup suppers offered in Wayland

Holy Family Parish in Steuben and Livingston counties will hold Lenten soup suppers/discussions on three consecutive Thursdays.

The opening event, on March 2, is titled “Soup … and Sin Too,” with a session on the sacrament of reconciliation led by Deacon Tom Driscoll. The March 9 discussion will focus on “A Fresh Look at Lent,” with Sisters of St. Joseph Barbara Kuhn, Mary Ann Brunett and Mary Jean Smith. The March 16 gathering will examine “The Soul of Money,” with Father Patrick Van Durme, pastor of Our Lady of the Valley Parish in Steuben County.

All sessions will begin at 6 p.m. at Holy Family’s faith-formation center in the former St. Joseph’s School, 209 Fremont St., Wayland. For reservations, call Jan Roth at 585/728-2228.
