The 40 Days for Life Lenten campaign, which began Feb. 22 in Ithaca, will be conducted through April 1.
Constant prayer is taking place daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. across from the Planned Parenthood facility at 314 W. State St. Residents of Ithaca and nearby communities are encouraged to join this peaceful initiative, which is part of a nationwide effort held in 200-plus cities for an end to abortion. Mary Anne Tissot, campaign coordinator, noted that a midpoint prayer vigil will take place on March 11 from 3 to 4 p.m., as well as a closing prayer vigil April 1 from 3 to 4 p.m., both outside Planned Parenthood.
