Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan, archbishop of New York, was the celebrant and homilist for the funeral Mass. Cardinal Dolan was a friend of Bishop Clark since the early 1970s, when the late bishop was the future cardinal’s spiritual director at the North American College in Rome.
Bishop Clark served the Diocese of Rochester as bishop for more than 33 years, from 1979 until his retirement in 2012.
