The Northwest Ontario Planning Group’s Pastoral Visitation Ministry is looking for new members. Formed five years ago by the five parishes that make up the planning group, the ministry’s mission is to provide spiritual care for those in the region’s hospitals, nursing homes and health-care facilities, as well as the region’s homebound. Pastoral-visitation ministers provide confidential, compassionate, personal and spirit-filled visits with those in need of spiritual care.
Beginning in late February, the ministry will be holding training sessions for those interested in becoming pastoral-visitation ministers. These sessions will begin at 7 p.m. Feb. 23 and March 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 at St. Patrick’s Parish Center, 115 Maple Ave., Victor.
