June Healy Heidt, a member of St. John of Rochester Parish in Perinton, has released a memoir: 1925 — The Depression, the War, Abandonment and My Life.
The 112-page book contains reflections from an ordinary woman who faced a variety of losses and hardships in her younger years, but overcame those challenges to live a happy and fulfilling life. It is available at https://www.createspace.com/5451446.
Heidt’s son is Basilian Father Edward Heidt, who graduated from Aquinas Institute in 1964 and St. John Fisher College in 1969. Father Heidt is now retired and living in the Diocese of Las Cruces, N.M.
