The Mary Garden outside St. Michael’s Church in Newark was the location of the May Crowning of the Blessed Virgin Mary on May 12. Eight of the eighteen children receiving First Communion participated in the ceremony, which included special hymns and prayers. The ceremony was dedicated to the memory of Debbie Lyons, who was a life long member of St. Michael’s Parish and was deeply devoted to the Blessed Mother.
