Jesuit Father Philip G. Judge will become president of McQuaid Jesuit in July, succeeding Jesuit Father Robert E. Reiser, who will step down following the 2019-20 academic year.
Father Judge entered the Society of Jesus in 1980 and was ordained in 1993. He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Fordham University; completed theology studies at Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley, Calif.; and earned a master’s degree in English from University of California at Berkeley.
He taught English and theology at McQuaid from 1986-89 and returned as principal in 2000. In 2005, he became president of Regis High School for 10 years. Since 2015, he has served as provincial assistant for strategic operations and planning in the USA Northeast Jesuit province.
