Meat, seafood raffle benefits bereavement group

Ham, beef and seafood will be raffled off March 12 to benefit Wounded Healers Bereavement Support Group Inc.

Wounded Healers is a nonprofit agency that offers individual and family counseling; a support group; bereavement training for businesses, schools and other groups; speaking engagements; funeral preparation; and other expertise related to grieving. Wounded Healers was founded in 1989 by Jeannette Berretta and Christine Lloyd, two former staff members of St. Mary’s Parish in Auburn who now belong to St. Mary Our Mother Parish in Horseheads.

The raffle will be held at 7 p.m. in the council rooms at the Knights of Columbus, 47 Market St., Auburn. Admission is free, door prizes will be drawn and there will be a cash bar and free chili and snacks.
