Colombian musician and actor-turned-missionary Marino Restrepo, whose religious conversion happened when he was held for ransom for six months at the hands of Colombian rebels, will be making several presentations in the area.
He will speak following the 6:30 p.m. Mass Friday, Oct. 14, at Holy Name of Jesus, St. Martin’s Way and Bonesteel Street, Greece. He also will present a daylong conference on "From Darkness into Light" following the 8:30 a.m. Mass Saturday, Oct. 15, at Holy Spirit Church, 1355 Hatch and Plank roads, Penfield. Carmen Humphrey from Saskatoon, Canada, who has a healing ministry, also will speak at the conference.
Finally, Restrepo will speak after the Life Teen Mass at 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, at St. Leo Church, 167 Lake Ave., Hilton.
