"Growing As Disciples Today" is the theme of a four-day mission to be held this month at St. Mary Church, 15 Clark St., Auburn.
Father Frank P. Desiano, CSP, will lead the Aug. 10-13 mission, which will be held at 7 p.m. each evening.
Father Desiano will talk about different themes of discipleship each day. The themes are:
* Aug. 10: Our Encounter with Christ, based on Matthew 14:22
* Aug. 11: Our Encounter with God in Prayer, based on Matthew 6:1
* Aug. 12: Our Encounter with God in the Word, based on Matthew 5:1
* Aug. 13: Our Encounter with Christ through Serving Others, based on John 13:1
Father Desiano also will be the homilist at the 9 a.m. Masses Aug. 10 and 12 at St. Hyacinth Church, 69 Pulaski St., Auburn, and St. Francis of Assisi Church, 303 Clark St., Auburn.
