Mount Morris church will celebrate its 150th anniversary

St. Patrick Church in Mount Morris will celebrate the 150th anniversary of its church building on Sunday, Nov. 12.

A liturgy will take place at 10 a.m., followed by a light luncheon in the former rectory next to the church.

St. Patrick, located at 46 Stanley St., is part of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish in western Livingston County. Its roots go back to the 1830s, and its first church was built in 1850. The current church was dedicated in 1873 by Bishop Bernard J. McQuaid, first bishop of the Diocese of Rochester.
