Our Lady of Mercy School for Young Women will have a new acting principal this year.
Sherylanne Diodato, who previously was dean of the middle school at Mercy, has been named acting principal of the high school and middle school, replacing Martin Kilbridge, who left Mercy at the end of June.
Kilbridge, who has been Mercy’s principal since 2018 and previously served as principal at Siena Catholic Academy, recently was named president of the Academy of the Holy Names in Albany.
The Board of Trustees at Mercy will launch a nationwide search for a new principal with the hopes of appointing a permanent principal for the 2023-2024 academic school year.
