Several parishes that are going through the process of clustering will start new Mass schedules in June due to a reduction in the number of priests assigned to their parishes.
St. Columba/St. Patrick, St. Mary of the Assumption and St. Vincent de Paul — which are part of the Five Saints West Planning Group along with St. Christopher in North Chili — will begin a new Mass schedule on the weekend of June 4-5. The parishes previously had three priests and nine Masses, but now will have two priests and six Masses among the parishes.
The new Mass schedule will be 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday at St. Columba/St. Patrick, 198 North St., Caledonia; 8 and 11 a.m. Sunday at St. Mary of the Assumption, 99 Main St., Scottsville; and 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday at St. Vincent DePaul, 11 N. Main St., Churchville.
The Monroe-Clinton Partner Parishes in the eastern portion of the city of Rochester also will begin a new Mass schedule on the weekend of June 11 and 12. The parishes previously had three priests and nine Masses, but will now have two priests and six Masses.
The new Mass schedule will be 4 p.m. Saturday and 10:30 a.m. Sunday at St. Mary, 15 St. Mary’s Place, Rochester; 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday at St. Boniface, 330 Gregory St., Rochester; and 10 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Sunday at Blessed Sacrament, 534 Oxford St., Rochester.
Bulletin announcements have noted that the new Mass schedules will be evaluated during the first year of implementation and adjusted if necessary.
