New parish center opens in Brockport

Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Brockport will dedicate its new parish center Oct. 27.

The dedication will take place after the 9 a.m. Mass, which will be celebrated by Bishop Salvatore R. Matano. An open house for the public will take place from 4 to 6 p.m.

The new center will be used for such things as religious-education classes, adult programs and social events, said parishioner John Lemke. It also will be used by the SUNY Brockport Newman Community, which now worships at Nativity, he added.
