New principal begins at Notre Dame

Deborah Franklin, a veteran school administrator from Texas, began July 5 as the new principal at Elmira Notre Dame High School.

She comes from Lake Dallas Middle School, where she served the past nine years as assistant principal.

Franklin said in a statement that at Notre Dame she seeks “to ensure that we continue to pursue its core mission and philosophy of challenging students and preparing them for college in ways that cultivate both their independence as well as their role as responsible citizens.”
