Jean Yorio has been selected as the new principal of St. Mary Our Mother School in Horseheads, effective July 27. She replaces Marilyn Zinn, who retired June 30 after 14 years of leading St. Mary Our Mother.
Yorio has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Alfred University, and a master’s degree in early childhood education from SUNY Geneseo. She earned her certification in education administration from SUNY Brockport. Most recently, she was a teacher in the Horseheads School District.
She, her husband, John, and their family are active members of St. Mary Our Mother Parish.
