Newark school to hold annual auction

St. Michael School in Newark will hold its 14th-annual auction at 6:30 p.m. April 28 at the school, 320 S. Main St. A premiere party will be held before the auction at 5:30 p.m.

The auction will feature a number of items donated by local businesses and families in the school community. Auction items include tickets to a Rochester Rattlers lacrosse game, Geva Theatre, a Rochester Raging Rhinos soccer game, Rochester’s Little Theatre and a one-night stay at a local hotel.

The auction also will feature items from the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra, the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, the Rochester Red Wings, The Pampered Chef Ltd., The Candy Kitchen, Splash Lagoon, Le Chic Boutique, Gardner the Train Doctor and Long Acre Farms. Each class in the school also coordinated the creation of a themed basket, and these baskets also will be auctioned.

The master of ceremonies for the auction will be Kathy Peters, who started the auction when she served as St. Michael’s principal from 1993 to 2002.
