The next Worldwide Marriage Encounter Weekend will be held Aug. 25-27 at Notre Dame Retreat House, 5151 Foster Road, Canandaigua.
Worldwide Marriage Encounter is a program for couples who want to enhance their marriage. Just as plants need fertilizer and cars need occasional tune-ups, marriages also need care and attention in order to remain healthy, organizers say. The goal of a Marriage Encounter Weekend is to give every couple the skills, confidence and insights they need to strengthen and enrich their relationship.
During these weekends, couples learn how to communicate more effectively and re-examine their marriage and priorities. Such themes as communication, trust and God are among the weekend’s focal points.
