No tickets remaining for January 21 cathedral dedication

The Diocese of Rochester has announced that no further tickets are available for the January 21 dedication of the renovated Sacred Heart Cathedral.

However, members of the diocese may visit the cathedral during an open house on Saturday, Jan. 22, from 2 to 6 p.m. The open house will be followed by a Taize Ecumenical Evening Prayer Service at 7 p.m.

The following public events also are scheduled at the cathedral in the coming months:

Sunday, Jan. 23 — Regular Mass schedule resumes: 7 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Sunday, Feb. 13 — Rites of Election at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday, March 22 — Chrism Mass at 7:30 p.m.

Thursday, March 24, to Saturday, March 26 — Holy WeekTriduum.

April 13 & 20, May 4, 9, 11, 17 & 25, June 1 & 4 — Diocesan confirmations.

Regional Family Pilgrimages — scheduled for Sundays during the Easter Season feature a 2 p.m. tour and a 3 p.m. prayer service; followed by a reception in the narthex. Invitations will be extended to parishes by regions: Sunday, April 10: Genesee Valley; Sunday, April 24: Monroe County; Sunday, May 15: Southern Tier; Sunday, May 22: Finger Lakes.

Saturday, May 21 — Deaconal ordination, 10:30 a.m.

Saturday, June 4 — Priesthood ordination, 10:30 a.m.

Saturday, June 22 — Solemn Evening Prayer on the feast of St. John Fisher.

Sunday, Oct. 16 — Anniversary Mass for the Nocturnal Adoration Society, 2 p.m.

October 21-23 — Diocesan Children’s Choir Festival, culminating with a concert in the cathedral at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23.
