Noted musicians to appear at St. Charles Borromeo, Greece

David Haas and Lori True, both nationally recognized liturgical musicians, will present a concert and pastoral music workshop Sept. 23-24 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3003 Dewey Ave., Greece.

Haas is a composer of more than 40 collections of liturgical music with GIA Publications as well as an author of numerous books. He has written several hymns that are widely used in worship today, including “You Are Mine,” “Blessed Are They” and “We Are Called.”

True serves as campus minister for music and liturgy at St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minn. She also has composed an extensive amount of liturgical music with GIA Publications.

The Friday-evening concert at St. Charles will start at 7 p.m., and the Saturday workshop will run from 9 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Cost is $20 for the concert and $30 for the workshop. Advance reservations can be made by visiting www.stcharlesgreece.org.
