Bishop Salvatore R. Matano celebrated the Solemn Mass of Chrism April 16 at Rochester’s Sacred Heart Cathedral. During the liturgy, priests from across the diocese renewed their priestly vows before Bishop Matano blessed the sacred oils — the Oil of the Sick, the Oil of the Catechumens and the Sacred Chrism — which will be used at diocesan parishes throughout the coming year.
