Bishop Salvatore R. Matano presided at the annual Solemn Mass of Chrism April 4 at Rochester’s Sacred Heart Cathedral. The large number of priests in attendance were invited to renew their priestly vows following the homily, after which Bishop Matano blessed the Oil of the Sick, the Oil of the Catechumens and the Sacred Chrism. These sacred oils will be used at diocesan parishes throughout the coming year.
