Once outlawed, abortion ‘can never come back’

To the editor:

After reading Mr. James Taylor’s letter in the October issue of Catholic Courier, I was appalled that he thinks that abortion should be made safe. Abortion is never safe, especially for the baby being killed. Did he also forget about the intense physical and emotional pain a woman suffers after her baby is killed and thrown into the garbage?

Mr. Taylor, don’t you have any faith in God or pro-lifers? Why can’t you see that when abortion is totally outlawed, it can never come back because America’s mind will finally be open to the truth about abortion and its alternatives that are available? Do you not realize that over one-third of my generation has been completely wiped out by abortion, causing a huge dip in the U.S. population for years to come?

You say you despise abortion, yet you think it should still be made available. You have to make a decision on whether or not you will be on the side of unconditional love for all stages of human life. You cannot be on both sides of the war against babies and their mothers.
