St. Mary of the Lake Parish in Ontario is one of six parishes and five schools in the diocese that recently received a grant from the diocesan Public Policy Committee.
St. Mary of the Lake’s social-ministry coordinator, Deacon Jim Nail, will use the grant to implement an energy-conservation education program at the parish and to promote the use of compact fluorescent light bulbs.
The Public Policy Committee received funds for these grants from the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and local donors.
