A novena to the Madonna Dei Miracoli — Our Lady of the Miracles — is slated from Thursday, June 9, through Friday, June 17, at St. Jude’s Church, 4160 Lyell Ave., Gates.
The novena schedule is as follows:
* Thursday, June 9: 7:15 p.m. opening Mass; indoor program with Knights of Columbus Color Corps; music by St. Jude’s Choir.
* Friday, June 10: 7:30 p.m. Mass followed by rosary.
* Saturday, June 11: 7:30 p.m. Mass followed by rosary.
* Sunday, June 12: 10 a.m. Mass followed by rosary.
* Monday, June 13: 7:30 p.m. Mass followed by rosary.
* Tuesday, June 14: 7:30 p.m. Mass followed by rosary.
* Wednesday, June 15: 7:30 p.m. Mass followed by rosary.
* Thursday, June 16: 7:30 p.m. Mass followed by rosary.
* Friday, June 17: 6 p.m. procession; 6:30 p.m. Mass; refreshments served afterward in Faith Formation Center.
The novena honors Our Lady of the Miracles, who reportedly appeared in 1576 to Alessandro Muzio in Casalbordino, located in what is now Italy. A statue of Our Lady of the Miracles stands in the Family Room at St. Jude’s.
