"Splendors of the Susquehanna," a first-time gala dinner and auction, will take place Friday, Nov. 9, at the Treadway Inn and Conference Center in Owego.
The event will benefit St. Patrick School as well as A New Hope Center, a facility for abused women and children. A highlight of the banquet will be the first presentation of the McAuley Award. This honor recognizes a local resident whose involvement in church and community exemplifies the traits of Sister Catherine McAuley, founder of the Sisters of Mercy.
