Panel presentation on suicide prevention slated at N. Chili church

The public is invited to a panel presentation on suicide prevention Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 7 p.m. at St. Christopher Church, 3350 Union St., North Chili.

Serving as keynote speaker will be Karen Heisig, board chair for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s western New York chapter. Other scheduled speakers are Paul Ziegler, an academic adviser at Roberts Wesleyan College who lost his son to suicide; Kelly Mohrman, suicide prevention coordinator at the Canandaigua VA Medical Center; and Kristina Mossgraber, director of education and community outreach for the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

Heisig’s presentation, “Talk Saves Lives,” will be followed by brief talks from the other panelists and a question-and-answer session. Handouts, along with websites and phone numbers for helpful resources, will be available. For details, email kheisig118@gmail.com.
