In conjunction with Respect Life Month, All Saints Parish in Corning is sponsoring a collection for Loving Arms of Steuben County.
Baby cribs and bassinets are set up in all three All Saints churches — St. Mary’s and St. Vincent de Paul in Corning, and Immaculate Heart of Mary in Painted Post — through the end of October. Particular needs are new and used baby items; infant, children’s and maternity clothes; and any other items that an expectant mother, baby or toddler may need. For items too large to bring to church, call Linda at 607/527-8238 to arrange for delivery.
The parish is also sponsoring a baby-bottle collection, for which parishioners can fill bottles with loose change for Loving Arms. In addition, All Saints is collecting baby food for the Corning Community Food Pantry.
Loving Arms, located at 25 Pine St., Bath, is a volunteer, nonprofit crisis-pregnancy organization. The agency also accepts cash donations and is always seeking volunteers. For further information, call 607/776-8004.
