“A Parish at Prayer” is the theme for the upcoming mission at Our Lady of the Valley Parish in western Steuben County. The mission will be held on four consecutive Wednesdays beginning Sept. 14.
Each session will start at 7 p.m. All gatherings will take place at St. Ann’s Church in Hornell, with the following themes:
* Sept. 14 — “Who We Are as Roman Catholics.”
* Sept. 21 — “Stewards of God’s Gifts.”
* Sept. 28 — “Sharing God’s Gifts With Everyone.”
* Oct. 5 — “Celebrating in Praise and Honor of Our God.”
A closing liturgy will be included in the Oct. 5 gathering. Serving as mission leader is Father Patrick Van Durme, pastor of Our Lady of the Valley.
