Holy Cross Parish in Dryden, Tompkins County, is requesting donations of gifts to be delivered to children in Iraq.
The middle-school religious-education class is collecting small toys and gadgets. The point person for this effort is Bob Schug, who is stationed in Iraq and has family members belonging to Holy Cross.
Items being collected include small stuffed animals; pens; small notebooks/writing pads; small rubber balls (super balls); crayons (eight count); stickers; small games; and monetary donations to cover shipping costs.
