Children in preschool through fifth grade are invited to participate in a summer drop-in religious-education program being offered by St. John the Evangelist Parish in Clyde and St. Patrick’s Parish in Savannah. The free program will be offered on three Saturday mornings — July 24, July 31 and Aug. 7 — and runs from 9:30 a.m. until noon each day.
Stewardship will be the theme of all three sessions, and each session will also have its own topic. The first session will focus on the topic of creation, the second session on Noah’s ark and the third on St. Francis of Assisi. Each session will include prayer, a Bible story, arts and crafts, a snack, and outdoor play time.
Registration forms are available in the entrances of both churches. Completed forms may be mailed to or dropped off at the rectory or placed in the collection basket, but need to be returned to Sister Catherine Gibbons by July 18.
Students in junior-high school and high school are invited to sign up to help with one or all of the sessions.
