St. Michael’s Parish in Lyons, St. John the Evangelist Parish in Clyde and St. Patrick’s Parish in Savannah are offering adult-education opportunities this summer. These sessions follow the same format as the diocesan Alive in Christ catechist-formation curriculum and are open to any interested adults.
There is a $7.50 fee for each session, said Sister of St. Joseph Catherine Gibbons, faith-formation coordinator for the three parishes.
Sister of St. Joseph Karen Dietz, diocesan coordinator of sacramental catechesis, will present the first session, “Preparing Children for the Sacraments” at 7 p.m. June 28 in St. Michael’s Church Hall. The registration deadline is June 21.
Joan Workmaster, former diocesan director of liturgy, will lead “Planning and Celebrating Liturgies With Children” July 18 at 7 p.m. at St. John’s School Hall in Clyde. The registration deadline is July 11.
Scott Rutan, coordinator of family and adult faith-formation programs at St. Patrick’s Parish in Victor, will lead “Old Testament Themes” Aug. 22 at St. John’s School Hall. The registration deadline is Aug. 18.
