St. Francis of Assisi and St. Hyacinth parishes in Auburn will celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday April 15 at St. Hyacinth Church, 61 Pulaski St.

In 2000, Pope John Paul II proclaimed the Sunday following Easter to be Divine Mercy Sunday. The Auburn celebration will begin with an 11 a.m. Mass followed by exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. Adoration will conclude with the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 3 p.m., followed by the rosary and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. The sacrament of penance will be offered at 1:30 p.m.
