A Mass for Peace will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 115 E. High St., Painted Post.
The liturgy will take place on the feast day of the birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It marks the sixth-annual Mass for Peace to be held by the St. Pius X Secular Franciscan Fraternity since the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
A social hour will follow the Mass. These events will take the place of the Secular Franciscans’ regular monthly gathering. All are welcome.
