The faith communities of Penfield will come together to give thanks at an Interfaith Prayer Service followed by a Crop Hunger Walk as part of the Town of Penfield’s bicentennial celebration.
The prayer service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, June 13, at the Penfield Amphitheater in Veterans’ Memorial Park behind the Penfield Town Hall on Atlantic Avenue. The prayer service will be immediately followed by the walk on the park grounds.
The prayer and music for the Interfaith Prayer Service is being coordinated by St. Joseph Church, in collaboration with all the participating communities. Parishioners of St. Joseph also are incorporating their participation into the parish’s celebration of its 150th anniversary.
To participate in either event, call Cathy Kamp at St. Joseph at 585-586-8089, ext. 115.
