Thomas L. Flood has been named principal of St. Michael School in Penn Yan. He replaces James Toner, who had been principal since 2012.
Flood earned a bachelor of science degree in health and physical education from Findlay University in Ohio and a master of education degree in administration from St. Bonaventure University. He served the Honeoye Falls-Lima School District for 30 years as a teacher, athletic director and administrator. After retiring from the district in 2004, he taught organizational management and coached the men’s basketball team at Keuka College for five years.
"I am very excited to be a part of the great education and traditions of St. Michael School," Flood said in a statement, noting that he is eager to help promote the faith-based education that the school provides and the fundraisers that make this possible.
