Alumni of St. Michael School in Penn Yan are invited to visit their old stomping grounds during the school’s Alumni Weekend.
The festivities will begin Nov. 5 with tours of the school, located at 214 Keuka St., from 2 to 4 p.m. That evening there will be a social gathering with hors d’oeuvres at the Wagner Restaurant at 124 E. Elm St. from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorabilia, including old photographs and report cards, will be on display at that gathering. The evening event will be attended by at least one priest and several of the women religious who used to teach at the school, which will mark its 135th anniversary in 2017.
On Nov. 6, alumni are invited to attend the 9:30 am. Mass at St. Michael Church, located at 312 Liberty St., as well as a breakfast to be held in the church hall immediately after Mass.
There is a $20 cost to participate in the weekend’s events, and that fee includes the food served both at the Wagner Restaurant on Nov. 5 and the breakfast on Nov. 6.
