H. Ricardo Ramirez, music director at Chicago’s Holy Name Cathedral, will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 1, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 296 Flower City Park, Rochester.
The concert, titled “The Halloran-All Saints Organ Pulls Out All the Stops,” will feature Ramirez playing the complete organ works of French composer Maurice Durufl√©.
Ramirez has a doctorate in musical arts from Rochester’s Eastman School of Music and previously was music director at Sacred Heart Cathedral and an area performer, composer and choreographer before he moved to Chicago.
There is no admission to the concert; a free-will offering will benefit “Music at the Cathedral.”
