Help the elderly and disabled in Livingston County by purchasing a community picnic plate of two hot dogs or hamburgers, baked beans, macaroni salad, beverage and dessert. The event will be from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at the Livonia Inn, 17 Commercial St., Livonia. Plates are $6 or $3 for kids under 12, and take-out is available.
Attendees also will be able to buy raffle tickets to win dinner at the Livonia Inn. Children’s activities will include music, a clown, balloon animals and face painting.
Proceeds will benefit Livingston County Catholic Charities’ Faith in Action program, which provides volunteer support services to frail elderly on fixed incomes and people with disabilities to help them live at home. Details are available by calling 585-658-4466 or e-mailing cbarrows@dor.org.
