Planning group will hold Lenten retreat

The six parishes in the Northwest Ontario Planning Group are sponsoring a Lenten retreat, which will be held at 7 p.m. Feb. 11, 12 and 13 at St. Patrick Church, 115 Maple Ave. in Victor.

Father John Graden, a member of the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales, will lead the retreat. Father Graden is the director of DeSales Resources and Ministries, which is located in Niagara Falls. The priest is a well-known teacher, preacher, singer, storyteller and Catholic evangelist with a special affection for Third World missions.

His talk on Feb. 11 will focus on “Being the Beloved: Identity as God’s Own,” and his Feb. 12 talk will be focus on “Being in Christ: Ministry of the Baptized.” On Feb. 13 he will talk about “A Faith to be Shared: Liturgy of the Eucharist.”

The Northwest Ontario Planning Group comprises the parishes of St. Patrick; St. Dominic, Shortsville; St. Felix, Clifton Springs; St. Francis, Phelps; St. Bridget/St. Joseph, East Bloomfield; and St. Mary, Canandaigua.
