Pray to end terrorism and abortion, writer urges

To the editor:

On March 18, my sister, Kathy, sister-in-law Amy, friends and myself went to the Rochester Catholic Women’s Conference at Aquinas Institute. There was the Mass with the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity.

After the Mass there was a speaker Immaculee Ilibagiza who experienced and went through the genocide of her nation Rwanda in 1994. It was a deliberate extermination of her people and nation. One million people were murdered. She lost all, including her parents, grandparents, two brothers and many friends.

Through the power of the rosary and the Our Father she went through the power of forgiveness. As a witness we all must pray, fast, almsgive and seek Mary who saw her Son die on the cross some 2,000 years ago.

We now have two genocides — abortion and terrorism. All could end if we seek Mary’s Immaculate Heart, thus leading us to Jesus., the Holy Spirit and God the Father. The Eucharist is very powerful so let us pray for the world to have peace and heaven here on earth like that night in Bethlehem when the angels sang to our newborn king, Jesus Christ.
