To the editor:
In the midst of pain and suffering we ask our family and friends to pray for us. Most of us respond to a request for prayers when we learn of someone in need. Tennyson said, "More things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of."
I asked myself, what if all of us prayed each day? Since then, I start each day with this prayer: Lord God, guide and protect all those in classrooms, on the road, in the air, in hospitals, at work, at meetings, at home, especially children all around the world.
What if each person, each day, said a simple prayer of their own? Can you imagine what a wonderful world it could be?
