Prayers, good wishes offered as we celebrate Christmas

I offer to you and to all of your loved ones my affection, prayers and good wishes as we celebrate the Christmas feast. I hope that the beauty and promise of this holy season will strengthen your spirit, renew your hope and bring you peace.
At this time we contemplate the wonders accomplished in us and for us by the poor, vulnerable, totally available Christ. As we do so, I hope that we can all be less afraid of our frailty and vulnerability, and more confident in the forgiving love in which the Christ holds us all. In like fashion, I hope we can look on the faults and failures of others with the same kind eyes with which the Christ looks on our own.
Please pray for those — near and far — who suffer in any way that Christ might touch their hearts with healing and hope.
Peace to all.
