Priest to celebrate healing Masses

Oblate Father Richard McAlear will preside over healing Masses at five local churches in November. He also will lead a day of teaching and healing Nov. 15 at Church of the Holy Spirit, which is sponsoring his visit and is located at 1355 Hatch Road in Webster.

Healing Masses will be celebrated Nov. 10 at St. Mark Church, 54 Kuhn Road in Greece; Nov. 11 at St. John of Rochester Church, 8 Wickford Way in Fairport; Nov. 12 at St. Patrick Church, 46 Stanley St. in Mt. Morris; Nov. 14 at Holy Spirit Church; and Nov. 17 at Church of the Annunciation, 1754 Norton St. in Rochester. Each of these Masses will begin at 7 p.m.

The day of teaching and healing on Nov. 15 will begin at 10 a.m. and will be immediately followed by Mass at 4:30 p.m. The day’s theme is “You Will Have the Power,” and Father McAlear will focus on Luke 24:49 and Acts 1:8. The cost for the event is $10, and preregistration is not required. Checks may be made out to Oblate Healing Ministry. Coffee and bagels will be provided in the morning, and participants are asked to bring their own brown-bag lunches.
