Priest’s talk focuses on Vatican II

Father Charles E. Curran will present “Living Faith — Hope and the Future of the Church” at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, at St. Paul Church, 783 Hard Road, Webster.

Father Curran will speak of the expectations for change created by the Second Vatican Council and will talk about the manner in which, during the subsequent 40 years, many of these expectations have proved illusory. He will assess the present state of the church and attempt to spell out what we can hope for in the future.

Father Curran, a diocesan priest who is professor of human values at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, has authored and edited more than 50 books on moral theology.

The talk is free and open to the public. For more information, call 585/670-0677.
